Asbestos

Our 4-Step Asbestos Removal Process

Asbestos is a very dangerous substance that can be found in older homes throughout the Scottsdale area. Before its dangers were recognized, many home-building materials were created using asbestos, such as roofing shingles, cement products, vinyl flooring, and more. The pros at Zona Restoration are all licensed construction specialists who are trained in safely removing this hazardous substance from your home. Read more to learn all about our thorough asbestos abatement process.

1. Contain the Work Area

We begin by completely containing the area in which we will be working. Using high-quality plastic sheeting, we tape off the floors, walls, and ceilings. We also prevent any cross-contamination with any other area of your home by using air scrubbers and negative-pressure machines.

2. Remove Asbestos Materials

Not only is our priority to keep you safe, but we also keep our employees safe. All specialists are required to wear abatement suits during the asbestos removal process. We safely and expertly remove all the hazardous material, being sure to seal it in secure, disposable waste bags. Then, it’s all discarded according to environmental procedures.

3. Clean with HEPA Vacuum

Once the asbestos is removed, we clean all surfaces using a wet-wipe method. After this, we use a professional-grade HEPA vacuum to clean the air and remove any remaining asbestos materials.

4. Test Using Third Party

We want to ensure that your home is now safe and free of all asbestos. Using a third-party company, air and material samples are taken. These samples are then tested to verify that all asbestos is gone, giving you the green light to return to your Scottsdale home.
